Scope and Contents

Photo album pages and loose photos. Iolani scenes and people 1937-1939, circa 1950. Photos of faculty on and off campus. Includes photos of students. Includes photos from various island locations as well as sporting events, boxing, swimming and football. Includes photos of Staley Hall, Willis Hall and dorms. This also includes two photos in jackets of elementary school students in 1949-50 and 1950-51 school years. Also includes World War II era photo of Charles Riggin (?) at a desk in a gas mask. This was used in the 1942 yearbook, Ka Moolelo O Iolani.

The ’Iolani School Archives contains materials, information, videos, images, etc., that may be considered sensitive or offensive according to today's standards. Black paper album.

Processing Information

Notes, in brackets, in pencil on back of loose photos were written based on notes found on back attached with post-it notes which had to be removed for preservation. Some envelopes were empty at time of processing.
